Moody Golf Scramble

The Gary Moody Scholarship Golf Scramble has raised over $22,000 in scholarships for students in energy-related fields of study at Tennessee Tech since its creation in 2017. As the chapter continues to provide excellent educational programs for the professional community, we also contribute to the future of our industry through financial scholarships to deserving students. The goal of AEE is to foster cooperative action in advancing the common purposes of its members and to promote activities designed to enable the industry to be conducted with the greatest economy and efficiency.

The Scramble is run in honor of Gary Moody, an AEE member and founding member of our chapter, beloved figure in the Tennessee energy community from his time with Piedmont Gas, and a great father, friend, and man.

We're deeply grateful to partner with the Moody family, who so generously allow us to carry Gary's memory forward each year by supporting the next generation of students in the energy field. Their presence and partnership year after year mean the Scramble stays true to who Gary was, not just a name on a golf tournament.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2026 Scramble a success — players, volunteers, and sponsors alike!

The 2027 Gary Moody Memorial Scholarship Golf Scramble is set for August 5th, 2027 at Pine Creek Golf Course. Register Here
